Cloonan is a queer mom and ceramic artist in Pittsburgh PA. Finding comfort In the pottery studio at North Hills High School, they have been throwing pots since 1992. A first generation immigrant from Ireland - they take Inspiration from a marble endemic to their fathers home of Connemara Galway to create warm and cheerful ceramic art. Cloonan's work is intentional, they hold form as valuable as function - both Quality and elegance are at play in every piece. From a simple cup to complex lidded forms, their work evokes a sense of comfort In the familiar.
